🧪 Modded Server Rules
Modded Minecraft opens up a world of possibilities, and a few extra ways to break stuff. These rules act as general guidelines. Specific modpacks may come with unique expectations, so use your head, ask questions, and play in good faith.
TL;DR: Don’t be a dick. Don’t tank the server.
🔫 PvP? Depends on the Pack
- Some modpacks include PvP elements — that's cool.
- But even if it’s allowed, be respectful. No spawn camping, griefing, or harassment.
- Consent and context matter. If someone’s not enjoying the fight, you’ve already lost.
🧱 Be a Performance-Conscious Player
- Modded servers are more fragile. You can cause lag without meaning to.
- Examples of “don’t do that”:
- Farms spewing items everywhere
- Infinite loops with no limiters
- Overflowing storage or chunk loaders left running forever
- TL;DR: If you're automating anything, make sure it fails gracefully. Ask for help if unsure.
🫱 Hands Off Others’ Stuff
- No stealing, griefing, or snooping in bases without permission.
- Leave machines, power setups, and automation chains alone unless invited.
🛠 Follow the Spirit of the Pack
- Some packs are about PvE progression, others are chaos sandbox builds.
- Try to play with the theme, not against it.
- If it feels like you’re ruining the fun for others, you probably are.
🧑🔧 Help Teach Others, If They Want Help
- Modded play can get complex. Don’t hoard knowledge or resources just to flex.
- Help others out, share tips, and be a good neighbour.
Accidents happen. We’re not here to punish honest mistakes — but we expect players to learn, improve, and care about the shared experience.
